Google and X-Prize teamed up to produce a site for people to upload photographs and messages to be included in all of the competing lunar crafts attempting to land on the moon with a payload. The concept was inspired by the photograph Apollo 16 astronaut Charles Duke left on the surface of the moon – which still may be there today.

I read somewhere recently that many of the top-shelf auto designers look to high-end watch design for inspiration: the machining, metals, blend of mechanic/aesthetic, leather, rubber, whatever. Look at the new 2008 Aston DBS and you can’t help but associate it with a Patek Philippe or Panerai. Aston has this great talent (and history in most cases) of nailing both exterior and interior design (unlike others: see Porsche). This 2008 DBS is just an absolutely breathtaking car.
